At low tide On March 27, 2004, Little Whale Cove in Depoe Bay, Oregon was covered with thousands upon thousands of By the Wind Sailors, a type of blue jellyfish that often blows ashore in the spring or summer. Although coastal inhabitants have seen them many times before, we have never seen so many as there are this year. Hopefully the tide will wash them back out to sea for if they stay on shore long, they die and begin to die and exude an unpleasant aroma.
