SEA THRIFT
By Leonard K.
Eaton
A hardy plant is the sea
thrift.
It grows on shores exposed
to drift,
Of wind and salt and nasty
spray,
Which come at any time of
day
It’s pink in color and grows
in clumps,
Which dot the coast in
little bumps.
It blossoms almost all year
round.
So we are thankful it
abounds.
